Baby-Style Feeding Schedules by Level

Sample feeding schedules for different care stages — from occasional sippy cups to full caregiver-managed feeding routines.

Written for consenting adults aged 18 and over. This is not medical advice. If something in here touches on your health, talk to a doctor about it rather than a guide on the internet.

Why Follow a Feeding Schedule?

A consistent feeding schedule creates predictability, which is comforting in a regressed headspace. It also helps caregivers plan care around the little's needs.

Level 1 — Light / Occasional

Little space is occasional. Feeding rituals are a treat, not a routine.

  • Morning cup of coffee or tea in a sippy cup (optional)
  • Normal adult meals
  • Evening bottle or sippy during little time
  • Snacks as desired

Level 2 — Part-Time

Little mode is regular — evenings and/or weekends.

During Little Time:

  • 🍼 Morning bottle upon waking in little space
  • 🍎 Morning snack with sippy cup (10:30am)
  • 🥣 Lunch — soft foods or baby-friendly meal
  • 🍎 Afternoon snack (3pm)
  • 🍽️ Dinner — with bib and sippy cup
  • 🍼 Evening/bedtime bottle

During Adult Time:

  • Normal adult eating

Level 3 — Deep Immersion

Little mode most of the day when home.

  • 🌅 7:30am — Morning bottle (in crib or little bed)
  • 🥣 8:30am — Breakfast, sippy cup, bib
  • 🍎 10:30am — Snack from caregiver
  • 🍽️ 12:30pm — Lunch, caregiver-assisted
  • 🍼 2:00pm — Post-nap bottle
  • 🍎 3:30pm — Afternoon snack
  • 🍽️ 6:00pm — Dinner, bib, sippy
  • 🍼 8:30pm — Bedtime bottle
  • 🌙 Bedtime

Level 4 — Full Authentic Baby / 24/7

Caregiver manages all feeding. Baby does not prepare their own food.

  • 🌅 7:30am — Bottle feeding in crib by caregiver (8 oz)
  • 🥣 9:00am — Baby food breakfast / purees, spoon-fed
  • 🍎 11:00am — Snack with caregiver (puffs, fruit)
  • 🍽️ 12:00pm — Lunch, caregiver prepared and served
  • 🍼 2:00pm — Post-nap afternoon bottle (8 oz)
  • 🍎 4:00pm — Snack
  • 🍽️ 6:00pm — Dinner, spoon-assisted, bib on
  • 🍼 7:30pm — Evening bottle before bath
  • 🍼 8:30pm — Bedtime bottle in crib

Hydration Notes

Staying hydrated is important regardless of level:

  • Aim for 6–8 cups of liquid per day
  • Water, milk, and diluted juice all count
  • Keep a sippy cup or water bottle nearby throughout the day
